Set inside a restored 17th-century nobleman's house in the heart of Garachico, San Roque is a genuine boutique gem. The 18 rooms wrap around two internal courtyards, each individually decorated with original art and Canarian antiques. The courtyard pool is fed by a natural spring. The restaurant serves excellent local produce from the hotel's own gardens and nearby Garachico farms. Service is exceptionally personal — the owners greet guests themselves. Location in Garachico gives you immediate access to the island's most atmospheric village and the volcanic lava pools just outside the door. Best for guests who value character, solitude, and local authenticity over facilities.
